What am I buying?

IOnYoo, like most other computer software, is sold on a licence basis.  This means that you are buying a licence to use the software in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.  It also means that we will not be sending you any physical product such as a CD-ROM, printed manuals or a product carton - you will be receiving an electronic licence by e-mail that allows you to use the software.  The licence lasts effectively forever (actually, thousands of years) but is only valid for the version of software for which it was bought - upgrades to newer versions of the software would normally need to be purchased anew.

How do I buy?

Firstly, if you have not already done so, we strongly recommend that you download the software and try it out.  This you can do without buying a licence or even providing us with any details about yourself.  The trial software is fully functioning, although it will stop working after 32 days and it will be limited as to the number of computers that you can control and the number of other programs that you can control.  At present these limits are 3 computers and 10 programs, which we have found is sufficient for people to decide if IOnYoo suits their needs.

Once you have decided that IOnYoo suits your needs, as we hope it will, then come back to this website to buy a licence.  In the first instance you will need to register with us, which simply requires that you provide us with a valid e-mail address, as this is to where the electronic licence will be delivered.  Once registered, log in and follow the link on this page to enter the purchase information, including your credit card details - please note that we only accept payment by credit card.  Once your payment has cleared, which is usually within minutes, your electronic licence will be generated and sent to your registered e-mail address, again, usually within one minute following acceptance of your payment.  Once you have the licence, follow the details in the e-mail or in the software itself as to how to install the licence. What if the licence doesn't arrive?

If your payment is accepted, our systems record this and create what we call an "ungenerated licence".  Normally the ungenerated licence will be immediately converted into a true licence, but if it does not, you can see whether you have an ungenerated licence on the "My Licences" page.  If there are any, then you can simply convert these to a true licence at the click of a button.  If you have no ungenerated licences and your licence has not arrived within 1 hour of either completing the purchase or converting an ungenerated licence to a licence, then you should contact Customer Services with full details of the problem experienced.

What if the purchase process fails part way through?

Please contact Customer Services with full details of the problem you experienced.  Normally we will display a transaction reference that will help you and us track the problem - we would appreciate it if you quote this in any correspondence with us. 

What is your refund policy?

As we operate a try-before-buy system, that is, you can try out the software before spending any money, we do not offer refunds except under the following circumstances. 

If you are experiencing a software problem causing the software to fail, then in the first instance you must raise a support incident with Technical Support.  Once Knowsys Limited has accepted the incident as a problem, then if we are unable to resolve the problem within 30 calendar days of our accepting the problem, we will offer you a refund of the licence cost that you paid.  We will only accept the incident as a problem after we have received sufficient information from you, at which point we will advise you that we have accepted the incident as a problem.  It is in our interest to resolve problems as soon as possible such that other customers can benefit from the same resolution and to improve the quality of the product, but we do accept that in certain circumstances that we may not be able to resolve the problem either in the stated timeframe or in a mutually acceptable way.  Once a refund has been agreed we will undertake to complete this within 10 days.

For non-UK buyers, your credit card will be billed in pounds sterling/GBP/£ to the relevant total amount.  It is usual for your card provider to convert this to your local currency at the time of purchase at a rate of its choosing.
