IOnYoo Product Details

IOnYoo is software for Microsoft Windows that allows you to monitor and manage the amount of time other programs are used in the following ways:

IOnYoo can detect the people who use a single computer or on a whole NT domain / Active Directory environment.

So, if you have one machine and a computer user name set up for each of the children on that computer, you can allow one child to have one set of access times for programs you choose whilst your other children may have different combinations of times and programs that they can use.

It is also possible to have, in combination with these settings, some settings that applied to all users.

If you have a Windows server on the network, then the user names selected by IOnYoo will be those defined on the network, even if multiple domains are involved.

Any program that is installed on a computer can be selected for control.

It is also possible to define the monitoring of programs that are not installed to cater for situations where programs are run from removeable media, such as floppy disks, CDs, DVDs and USB drives (including MP3 players and "pen drives")

Furthermore, you can see what programs are running on another computer and decide whether a program currently being run should be a candidate for monitoring!

You may wish to apply control to a specific computer, perhaps used only by a particular user. Simply choose from the list of computer names presented.

Alternatively, choose to have a program monitored on any computer.

You can choose at which times in the day (and which days of the week) a monitored program may or may not be used. This allows, say, access to those troublesome programs for a short period after school or perhaps during school or work lunch break

The only parameter we couldn't make start with a w! With this you can allocate, say, 45 minutes of use per day for a given program, whilst still limiting access to a total of, say, 100 minutes in the week and perhaps 1,000 minutes in a month! The time selection can be as short as a minute so should cater for most needs.

At first reading, this may sound complicated to set up.  Well, we'd agree it is comprehensive, but to make things even easier for most users, we include a "Quick Start" configuration page which, with a few clicks, will have IOnYoo providing control over what we found most people wanted.  If you find the Quick Start defaults not quite what you want, then you can simply go to the full configuration pages and tune the settings as you need.

So, there's fine control and ease of access - we've found that's quite powerful!
